Borsec is a town famous for its mineral waters, the Borsec History Museum examines and celebrates this unique history.
A very informative guide explained the history and future plans of Borsec. (open by appointment only)
Once traveled to from afar, the town was known for the spas and sanatoriums that had the ability to cure the ill thanks to the healing properties of the water. This is a reputation that the town is trying to regain as they slowly begin reconstruction and new buildings with the help of funding from both the EU and Romanian Tourism Board. They are also working towards creating a ski resort in Borsec.
The water was originally transported in clay vessels and then later in glass. Borsec had its own glass factory that created the water containers as well as other items. Now of course, plastic is used.
The water is the life of Borsec, and is continually wins awards as one of the best in the world.

School visit
Today I visited a primary school in Borsec.
This is a picture of three children Kristina and I met on the street a couple days ago when walked into town. They were very friendly and spoke very good English. They came to visit me when they found out I was coming to their school today.
The students and I worked on a painting together. When we were done I cut the painting in half. Half for me to keep and the other half for them to keep in their school.
It was a lot of fun!
